The 22nd annual Confederation Cup High School Hockey Invitational Tournament is taking place from Thursday, February 6th to Sunday, February 9th at various rinks in St. John's and the surrounding area. The Confederation Cup High School Hockey Tournament began in 1999 as part of the 50th anniversary
celebration of Newfoundland and Labrador becoming Canada's tenth province in 1949.


This years tournament, which will be the largest boys high school hockey tournament in the province, will see over 20 teams compete in a total of 58 games in 9 venues throughout the region. This will lead to an exciting finish to the tournament with the Tier I and Tier II championship games taking place on Sunday, February 9th.

Organization of the tournament is led by Mr. Charlie Decker, who has been involved with the tournament since its inception, and with the support of Gonzaga High School.
