Media / Public Information Notice - 2020 Confederation Cup
The 22nd annual Confederation Cup High School Hockey invitational Tournament is taking place this week from Tuesday, February 6th to Sunday, February 9th at various rinks in St. John's and the surrounding area. The Confederation Cup High School Hockey Tournament began in 1999 as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of Newfoundland and Labrador becoming Canada's tenth province in 1949.This years tournament, which will be the largest boys high school hockey tournament in the province, will see 20 teams from across the province compete in a total of 46 games in 9 venues throughout the region. 2018 Confederation Cup
The Confederation Cup High School Hockey Invitational Tournament began in 1999 as part of the fiftieth anniversary celebrations of Newfoundland and Labrador becoming Canada's tenth province in 1949. This year marks the 20th annual Confederation Cup and will run from February 7th-11th in St. John's and the surrounding area. This year, it is expected there will be teams participating from all across Newfoundland, as well as from other provinces. Schedule Changes and Playoffs
Due to flight issues, the Lockview Dragons and Inverness Rebels, both from Nova Scotia, were a day late arriving in St. John`s. Four games were rescheduled to accommodate this issue and the schedule has been modified accordingly. The playoff schedule will be posted later today as the matchups are determined. [Full Story]
